Pakistan Successfully Tests Fatah-4 Cruise Missile

9 News HD:Pakistan has successfully conducted a test launch of the extended-range version of its indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Fatah-4 is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigation systems. The missile system is designed to engage targets at extended ranges with high precision.
The latest test also checked different technical parts of the missile system. ISPR said the test helped confirm improvements made to increase accuracy and improve the system’s ability to survive during operations.
Senior Pakistan Army officers, along with scientists and engineers from the development organisation, witnessed the test launch. The successful test was welcomed by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir and other service chiefs.
The latest Fatah-4 test is another step in Pakistan’s efforts to develop its own defence technology. Earlier in May, Pakistan had also conducted a successful test fire of the Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile.
The successful launch highlights the continued work of Pakistani scientists, engineers and defence teams in improving the country’s locally developed missile systems. It also reflects Pakistan’s focus on strengthening its defence capabilities through domestic technology.
